Future Mobile Retail System
By 2035, while digital nomadism and smart micro-territories are boosting rural settlements, these areas still face challenges in accessing essential services due to weak logistics, exacerbated by ongoing urbanization and the resulting population decline.

Our mobile retail model revitalize rural areas this by linking them with urban areas through a mutual supply system, enabling exchange of local goods and services. A specialized algorithm ensures efficient delivery and self-pickup options within a 5-minute walk, catering to community needs. This approach creates a seamless, customized shopping experience, nurturing a sustainable community.

Individual Project

Key Change Drivers & Problems

In a preferred future, growing nomadism and flexible schedules shift work from cities to rural areas, despite challenges in transport and essential services. Revitalizing these areas is vital for connecting rural and urban economies, countering the migration of the working-age population to cities.

Brainstorming

Starting with future attributes as design principles, I organized opportunities into a hierarchy. Through extensive brainstorming, I distilled these into six definitive design considerations, and then created ideation sketches based on these design points.

Prototyping

By replicating the actual proportions of retail spaces, I create scaled-down models and conduct user scenarios to fully understand all shopping interactions. This process allows me to iteratively refine the models to improve the overall user experience.
